Rinse the area first, then apply a peanut-sized amount of Dr. Wolff’s V-san Intimate wash Lotion directly into your hand, or onto a damp flannel or disposable washcloth and apply to the external vaginal area. Then rinse off.
If using cotton flannels, these should be washed regularly in hot water (60° C). In case of the presence of vaginal infection, use the cotton flannel once only and then wash before using again.
Dr. Wolff’s V-san Intimate wash Lotion comes in a bottle with a specially designed cap that only dispenses the correct amount of lotion.

Can Dr. Wolff’s V-san Intimate Wash Lotion be applied undiluted and left on the skin? No. It is a wash lotion which must always be rinsed off after it is applied.

Is it necessary to match the pH level of an intimate wash lotion to the age of the woman? No. Whilst studies show that the pH of the skin (in the external intimate area as well) is about 5 in younger women and increases with age, a higher pH value reduces the skin's ability to fight bacteria. Therefore, skin cleansing and skin care products (also for the external intimate area) – for younger and for older individuals – should have a pH of around 5 (not higher) to prevent alkalising the skin and to maintain its natural acid mantle.
I am always getting yeast infections and would like to do something to prevent them. Will Dr. Wolff’s V-san Intimate Wash Lotion help me with that? There are many different causes for recurrent vaginal yeast infections. Dr. Wolff’s V-san Intimate Wash Lotion alone cannot prevent yeast infections. But since one of the possible factors that contribute towards vaginal yeast infections is insufficient intimate hygiene, the regular use of Dr. Wolff’s V-san Intimate Wash Lotion can support your body’s natural defences.
